Twellers......

OK...Twellers are something totally new! Tree Dwellers of the Elemental Forrest, I don't know much about their story yet, but I can say I had alot of fun "finding/creating" them and so there shall be more to come :)

WOW...I have been a BAD blogger!!

Wembll of the Sky Clan!

Anyone out there that was actually looking forward to my blogs....I apologize!! I have been a bad bad blogger!!

Actually I have been really bad at any crafting also...we moved and my craft room went from a huge spare room to a small area of our bedroom and my closet...that really but a "downer" on the crafting side of my head. Well it seems this really nice lady on etsy bought ALL of my dragons. I kid you not ALL of them....well Elemental Dragons has not been with out any Dragons since it's birth about 12 years ago....well off I went to make more dragons...made 5 more...listed them and now they are gone....went to make some Tweerbs...listed them and now they are gone. Don't get me wrong here....PLEASE buy my critters, but I have never had them go all in the same day (hopefully this is a new trend :)

Computer play......

I have been having so much fun getting college art from sellers on etsy and then morphing them together.....
I am planning on turning this one into a ACEO and jewelry. Currently I am trying to figure out resin and have but having a fun and frustrating time. I looks wonderful, but I want something different with my new style (not just the square we are all use to). So I will keep you informed on my progress with this.......FUN!!

BogFrog

Well I was taking a walk in the Elemental Forrest when I heard the strangest sound coming from a small bog just under a huge twisty bog tree and there they were the funniest little critters, kinda a mix of a frog and well I don't know what else. The sound they make is like a low blurb that drags on and on......

I don't know much more about them right now, but I can't wait to get to know them better :)

Not more Tweerbs......

I will start off by saying that I will no longer keep ElementalForrest on etsy running.....all the critters will be moving back to the Forrest with the Dragons at http://www.elementaldragons.etsy.com/

It was to hard to keep two store going and nobody was going to the new one, I have such a great following on my Dragons site that I figured it was all the better :)

As for the Tweerbs:

I have been having so much fun making this funny (OK stupidish) looking critters that I have two more coming. The scary thing is that I think they have been talking and then they both turned and ran away as fast as a Tweerb can move......I caught it all with photos..... Go Tweerb Go!!!

They have such a dopey look to them that I can't help but laugh every time I make one (I know that bad of me).

Polymer Cafe.......

Well I received my new Polymer Cafe today and as usual I can't wait to get home and read it all.......
cruising right along I come to this page with these two wonderful dragons and as I am admiring how cute they are I realize they are mine :)
I have a whole page in the mag with two of my Elemental Dragons on it - YIPPEE!!!!
I think I am getting my name out there......

Not much to say......

Sorry to my followers here.....I really have not done much in the last week with clay :( Not that I didn't want to, but the kids were sick (strep) and even though I was not the sick one it sure does take alot out of a person.

I was informed yesterday that I was featured in Linda Peterson's blog (myself and my guild - Mile High Polymer Clay Guild) so I will link to that and you can go and see me and many of my dragons.........exciting!!!

Coope of the Earth Clan

Coope is a experimental little fella......

WHY??

I started out in my normal fashion of making my dragons (which you can purchase the PDF's on How to make your own on ETSY and Artfire - my plug :) OK back to Coope......I purchase this fuzzy stuff called Fleck sometime back and really didn't know what I was going to do with it, so I mixed quite a bit into the clay, with the idea (in my head) that a kinda fuzzy dragon would be born. Well the fleck seemed to just disappeared into the clay, so I figured I would rub some on this little dragons back and try to make it stick to his "skin" to make a fuzzy dragon - nope! All this did was make it so NO other clay would stick to he, in turn little Coope here has NO scales (Sorry). I baked him as is and then decided this might be a good time to try out this new metal paint I got from http://www.polyclayplay.com/ and decorate him with that and this is what turned out..... He has found some kind of seed pod to hold! I am still not sure what I am going to do with the fleck, but this turned out to be a lesson in what not to do :)

Mud Head Tribe

Well here goes...the experimentation of clay and alcohol ink

You already saw my first attempt and I like him but this next little guy was totally covered in a dark color (terracotta) and was left for days, when I went to see what had turned out, I didn't like how dark he was so I took the bottle of alcohol and splashed his whole face and rubbed a little and this is what came out...... He looks sad and very "Eeyore like".

This one I am not sure what I was thinking when I made his face...but anyways...he is a mix of yellows and orange colors and then we I felt that the alcohol ink was right I airbrushed him with a orange/red color and what came out was this..... He looks sunburned, but then again he kinda looks like the sun :)

I also finished working on some that I did when the clay (white, black and translucent) was hot and that produced some really interesting effect and I will talked about them next time for I still have get them their photo shot......

One problem I now face, and any comments are welcome, what do I do with them???? I was thinking a brooch or magnet but I am not sure if that would sell :)

Re-listed Dragons NEEDING HOMES!!!

I have had to re-list 3 of my dragons on etsy this weekend so I figured I would use this opportunity to plead their cases.......



First is Knitcell of the Sky Clan He is an original Elemental dragon and is unusual for I really don't make many dark colored dragons (people don't seem to like them as much) so poor little Knittcell is just sitting around with a sad look on his face waiting for a home.....


Second is Tussle of the Gems Clan She is also one of the original Dragons. I am very surprised that she is still with me. She is a lovely purple swirled color and as one of my favorite set of wings (my favorite colors - a purplish/blueish hue). Tussle does have a "grumpy" look to her face but I think she would loosen up once she finds a home :)



Last but not least is Dudlee of the Earth Clan.....OH Dudlee he has such a sweet dorky look to his face. He is made of very earthy colors and he likes to hide and blend in to his surrounding........I have lost him a few times, but he is such a loving dragon he also comes home for some loveies.....

Well that is my case for these three, hopefully someone out there will open up their home to a sweet little dragon :) and if you purchase one of these dragons and mention that you read this blog in the notes I will refund you 25% off the purchase price.......

I have many new faces and played alot with the alcohol inks in the last couple of days so that will probably be my next blog hope you tune in and follow my findings!!

I re-listed a little girl today, and to tell you the truth I am amazed that she didn't sell....

Usually the light colored (angelic) looking dragons find home quickly :(

Hopefully this time around: Angelica is actually more of a light light peach color. My camera likes to play with colors and it drives me nuts (any suggestions??) I try different lighting and different backgrounds and it doesn't seem to help.

Anyways this little one is up on etsy right now, waiting for a home for which she can bring some smiles to :)

Sorry no new critters, I have been baking banana bread ALL day, for I have heard that the Elemental Forrest likes banana bread (maybe it's the nuts)......so we shall see what happens!
